Breedon launches 2024 apprenticeship scheme
New programme will see 40 apprentices join the company in September
Breedon has announced the launch of its 2024 apprenticeship programme, which will see 40 new apprentices join the group in September.
The programme is open for candidates to apply from today (1 February). Successful applicants will have the opportunity to gain paid, hands-on experience in the building materials sector.
The 2024 intake can apply for roles across different disciplines at various sites in the UK and Ireland, including electrical maintenance technicians, mechanical maintenance technicians, plant maintenance technicians, quarry and ready-mix operatives, customer service agents, operations management, commercial (estimating and quantity surveying), administration, construction site supervisors and surfacing operatives.
Applicants need no prior experience or qualifications if they are applying for a Level 2 intermediate apprenticeship. However, Level 3 advanced apprenticeships require five GCSEs, while Levels 4, 5, 6 or higher/degree apprenticeships require A levels or a BTEC.
Ceri Travers, early career manager at Breedon Group, said: “Through our apprenticeship programme we are not only investing in the future of our industry but also empowering a new generation of talent with the skills and opportunities to build successful careers.
“Breedon is a great place to start a career and our apprentices will gain invaluable hands-on experience whilst learning from some of the most knowledgeable professionals in the field.
“We have a lot to offer our apprentices, including a competitive starting salary and annual leave entitlement, development opportunities and, of course, the chance to begin an exciting career in an industry that can make a material difference.”
The deadline for applications is 4 March. A full timeline for the application process and onboarding programme for successful applicants can be found here.
