Webinar | How to provide PPE that fits
Free CPD webinar on 8 July will explore the practical steps construction employers – and their personnel – can take to help eliminate ill-fitting PPE
The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) #PPEthatfits campaign has put inclusive PPE firmly in the spotlight by helping to address widespread inequalities in PPE provision across the built environment sector.
However, there is more work to be done to ensure all workers are effectively protected, regardless of gender, shape, size, race or religion.
This virtual event, delivered in association with UVEX Safety (UK), will see industry experts discuss why inclusive PPE is a fundamental safety issue that is everyone’s responsibility. The panel will also explore the importance of empowering the workforce to call out inadequate PPE, the key issues contractors must consider when establishing a robust PPE strategy, and the complex challenges including regulatory and procurement constraints.
The speakers will be:
- Katy Robinson, senior project manager at East Riding of Yorkshire Council and campaign manager for the National Association of Women in Construction Yorkshire
- Nigel Day, technical support manager at UVEX Safety (UK)
- Katherine Evans, lead founder of the Bold as Brass women’s support group and gender equity and culture consultant at Bold as Brass Consulting Services
The webinar, on 8 July at 11am (BST), is free to attend. Shortly after the live broadcast, the session will be available to watch on demand.
Those who watch live will qualify for one hour’s CPD credit.
