Wates and AccXel join forces to nurture construction talent
Trainee programme will provide apprentices with "top-tier education" to meet the industry’s evolving requirements
Wates Group is partnering with AccXel Construction School to support its first cohort of trainees.
AccXel will deliver training for Wates’ trainee programme, equipping apprentices with practical skills and knowledge.
As well as supporting Wates’ 65 trainees, the partnership will also generate investment into the Gloucestershire area.
The apprentices, who come from across the UK, will live locally during their studies, contributing to the local economy and fostering community ties.
Alison Reid, early careers manager at Wates Group, said: “Partnering with AccXel ensures that our apprentices receive top-tier education that meets the evolving demands of our business and our industry.
“This partnership is a vital part of our long-term commitment to nurturing talent and providing our teams with the skills they need to lead Wates into the future.”
Natalie King, managing director and principal of AccXel, added: “This collaboration reflects our shared mission to drive excellence in the sector and raise the standards of construction and built environment education.
“By developing the next generation of sector talent, we are laying the foundations for the industry’s future.”
